Frequently Asked Questions
About Thrive Coaching London
What is neurodivergent coaching?
Neurodivergent coaching is a strengths-based, person-centred approach designed specifically for people with neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and dyscalculia. Rather than focusing on deficits, it helps you understand how your brain works, build strategies that fit your unique way of thinking, and achieve your goals with less overwhelm.

She has lived experience of dyspraxia — diagnosed during law school — and specialises in supporting neurodivergent adults, particularly mothers. Where are you based?
Thrive Coaching London is based in South East London, with sessions available in Kidbrooke, Blackheath, and online via video call — so you can access support wherever you are in the UK.
Working With Merrigan
How do I get started?
The first step is a free discovery call. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we can explore what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and see if we’re a good fit. You can book directly at tidycal.com/thrivecoachinglondon23/discovery-call.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with you?
No. Thrive Coaching London welcomes self-identifying neurodivergent individuals. Whether you have a formal diagnosis or simply recognise neurodivergent traits in yourself, you are welcome here.
What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions are conversation-based, collaborative, and completely tailored to you. We might explore a specific challenge you’re facing, work through strategies for executive function or overwhelm, or focus on longer-term goals. Sessions are paced to suit your needs — there’s no pressure to talk about anything you’re not ready for.
How long does coaching last?
This depends entirely on your goals and circumstances. Some clients work with Merrigan for a few sessions around a specific challenge; others prefer ongoing support over several months. We’ll agree a plan together that works for you.
Access to Work
What is Access to Work?
Access to Work is a UK government scheme that provides grants to help disabled people and those with health conditions — including neurodivergent conditions — to start or stay in work. It can cover the cost of workplace coaching, assistive technology, support workers, and more.
Can I use Access to Work to fund coaching with Merrigan?
Yes. Many clients use Access to Work funding to cover neurodivergent coaching sessions with Thrive Coaching London. Merrigan can provide the documentation you need to support your application. Find out more about Access to Work coaching here.
